Isom Dart:

Isom Dart (1858–1900), also known as Isam, was a cattle driver, rancher, and horse and cattle rustler in the late 19th century Wild West.
He settled in Browns Park in northwestern Colorado, where he was considered a “superlative rider and roper” and an “expert and industrious cattle thief.”

Dart invented the technique of bulldogging, which involved grabbing cattle by the horns and wrestling them to the ground.
Despite his outlaw reputation, he was well-respected and known for his skills as a bronco buster.
Unfortunately, he met a tragic end, being gunned down by range detective Tom Horn in 1900.

Nate Love (Nat Love):

Nat Love (1854–1921) was an American cowboy and writer active after the Civil War.
Born into slavery in Tennessee, he became a skilled cowboy, expert marksman, and daring rodeo performer.
Love’s autobiography, Life and Adventures of Nat Love, captivated readers with tales of his adventures, encounters with famous outlaws, and life as a Pullman porter.
His story is even more incredible than the fictional Nat Love portrayed in the Western film The Harder They Fall.

Bill Pickett:

Bill Pickett (1870–1932) was an African American cowboy, rodeo performer, and actor.
He is credited with inventing bulldogging, a rodeo event involving wrestling a running steer to the ground.
Pickett’s masterful handling of animals made him legendary.
He appeared in early motion pictures and performed under the name “The Dusky Demon” in the 101 Ranch Wild West Show alongside Buffalo Bill, Will Rogers, and others.
These three individuals left indelible marks on Western history and continue to inspire us today.
